FAQ
A: No problem! Lots of our athletes can’t attend every week. If you know you can’t make it certain weeks, we have a WhatsApp group with everyone in the league, making it easy to find subs when needed. This way, you can still enjoy the game and participate whenever you’re available!
A: Yes! You can absolutely sign up as an individual. We’ll place you on a team with other free agents or teams needing extra players. It’s a fantastic way to meet new people and enjoy the game!
A: No problem at all! You and your friends can sign up with as many players as you have, and we’ll take care of the rest by assigning free agents to complete your team. Plus, tryouts are a fantastic opportunity to meet other free agents and potentially find the perfect fit for your squad. We make sure everyone gets a chance to play and enjoy the game!
A: For all our leagues, including 4v4, 3v3, and 2v2 formats, each team must have at least one female player. If you don’t know a female player or aren’t signing up with a team, we can assign you a female free agent to join your team. Otherwise, if you want to play with a team of all men, you must play games with a handicap: no hitting from in front of the 10-foot line. This way, everyone gets a chance to play in a diverse and inclusive environment.
A: Check out the sign up page for the most up to date information about game times!
A: Typically, yes. We encourage all players to attend tryouts each season to ensure a fair and competitive league. However, if you are a returning champion with a secured bid in the next division tier, you can skip tryouts. Additionally, if you upgrade your team to VIP status, you can maintain your position in the same division without needing to try out again. This way, we keep the competition exciting and fair for everyone, while rewarding our top players and loyal teams. If you are unable to attend tryouts, please reach out to us before the start of the league to let us know.
A: Even ballers have to strut their stuff at tryouts. It’s our way of keeping the league fair and competitive. Plus, it’s a great chance to show off those killer moves and maybe even make some new friends.
A: For 2v2 and 3v3 leagues without divisions: If you do not already have a partner, you will be randomly assigned one. For 4v4 leagues with divisions: You will be automatically placed in the lowest division.
A: A forfeit is counted as a 3-set loss on your record, which affects your overall standings. However, it doesn’t prevent your team from competing in the playoffs at the end of the season. So, while it’s always best to show up and play, one forfeit won’t ruin your chances for postseason glory!
A: Each season, we set up a group chat with everyone in the league. Teams and players can use this chat to request subs or offer to sub for others. For 4v4 games, subs must be within your division or from a lower division. The only exception is playoffs, where no subs are allowed, except in case of injury, where subs are allowed from within the league.
